If You Know Our Load Arrester, You Know Ann!
Ann Is Retiring From The Load Arrester Industry Sept 11th
Many of our customers have spoken with Ann Boyce in customer service regarding a load arrester or special application. She has been a dedicated employee for close to 20 years and her knowledge in our Load Arrester product line shows it. Ann goes the extra mile to insure our customers are taken care of promptly. She has recently announced her set retirement date will be September 11, 2015. Although deeply saddened by this, we had to celebrate and throw her a party of course! We enjoyed getting together for this celebration and sending her off with best wishes. Here at the Load Halt family, we pride ourselves in the tenure of employees that we have working for us and know that all your load arrester needs will be met with the same service that Ann has provided to you over the years. We will miss you Ann!
Let the 4th of July Celebration Begin!!!
Our family here at Load Halt, would like to wish you a Safe and Happy 4th of July! The Fourth of July is a spectacular day: fireworks, picnics and music all in the name of our country's freedom. We value your trust in our fall safety equipment and thank all of our customers for continued support throughout the year, helping to make us leaders in the load arrestor and fall arrester industry. In celebration of this Independence Day, here are some fun trivia facts to share.
Is Pennsylvania the country's most patriotic state? According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the so-called "State of Independence," where the Declaration of Independence was debated and signed, is home to 11 places with the word "liberty" in their name and 33 with the word "union" in them, leading the country for the number of places with such names.
American Bald…Turkey? In a letter to his daughter Sarah Bache in 1784, Benjamin Franklin wrote that he was displeased that the bald eagle had been chosen as the symbol for the nation. "He is a Bird of bad moral character. He does not get his Living honestly," he wrote. "You may have seen him perched on some dead Tree near the River, where, too lazy to fish for himself, he watches the Labour of the Fishing Hawk."
Happy 2nd of July?! Author Kenneth C. Davis has revealed that the 2nd of July may actually be the more appropriate date to mark the nation's special day. "The fact is that John Adams wrote home to Abigail on the 3rd that this day, July 2nd will go down in history," Davis said during an appearance on "CBS This Morning." "We'll celebrate it with parades and pomp and bells ringing and fireworks, and it was because Congress actually ruled it in favor of independence on July 2. But it was two days later, of course, that Congress then accepted Jefferson's declaration, explaining the vote two days before that really got fixed in the America's imagination as our birthday. July 2nd should be Independence Day."
